Wavenis Open Standard Alliance

About the Wavenis Open Standard Alliance

Wavenis-OSA is an independent standards body whose participants will work together to define the Wavenis technology roadmap and to deliver new Wavenis features and capabilities, as determined by member interests and market requirements. We are an all-volunteer, member-driven organization, with participants from around the world.

Wavenis-OSA will also work to foster both innovation and cooperation among members, and the growing Wavenis developer community will fuel this process. Based on Wavenis features and capabilities, all new Wavenis adopters can define their own Wavenis profiles to meet specific application requirements: frequency bands, data rate, output power, channel bandwidth, network topology, self-routing and self-healing options, etc.

Looking outward as well as inward, Wavenis-OSA will collaborate with major industry standards organizations as well as with other proprietary initiatives. We plan on establishing connections with groups such as Bluetooth SIG, ZigBee and Konnex, as well as with proprietary initiatives such as Z-Wave and io-homecontrol, and independent organizations, as well as with international standardization bodies such as IEEE, ETSI, EPC Global, ISAD, LPRA, HART, ISA-SP100 and so on.

Wavenis-OSA will carry out marketing and communications programs to promote Wavenis positioning, adoption, and deployment internationally throughout the industry, and will work to maintain Wavenis as a strong, visible brand.

The Time Is Now - Join the Wavenis Open Standard Alliance

The Wavenis-OSA is now accepting applications for membership. The Alliance is moving fast to accomplish its goals over the next few months. One of our objectives is to develop our membership base and grow in numbers.

The Wavenis-OSA offers three different levels of active membership – Principal, Participating and Advisory –, each with its own benefits and annual dues amount. In addition, the Wavenis-OSA offers Informational membership for organizations that wish to show their support for the Alliance without a financial commitment. Informational members receive one electronic copy of all publicly released material but do not participate in Alliance activities or pay any dues.

Any association, governmental agency, non-profit organization or academic entity is encouraged to join at the Advisory level but may choose to join at any level.
